Every year we gain a little more knowledge in growing food in the unique bio region of the cloud forest. Our primary source of knowledge is from the local food producers of the region plus the experience from guests. We raise chickens and turkeys and keep a small herd of beef cattle. Too cool for papayas and tomatoes unless we grow them in the greenhouse. Salad greens, carrots, onions, snowpeas, beets grow great. We started hydroponics in 2014 and we are getting better at fine tuning the fertilizers for growing greens, strawberries and tomatoes. Herbs and spices are in abundance and the produce we grow finds its way into our restaurant providing guests with organic local produce.
